Tibetan healing bowls

Tibetan healing bowls tend to have a more beaten or handmade look about them, when compared to the more refined or finished singing bowls. Healing bowls are also held in the palm of your outstretched hand. Traditionally, healing bowls are struck (usually with a cloth covered mallet) firmly three times and then allowed to ring all the way out, as opposed to being played with a wand. As the name suggests, you can also play them on and over the body for healing. They are often used in ‘sound healing,’ where the vibration or resonance emanating from the bowl cleanses and aligns the energy centres in the body.
